The words every locker room fears the most have become an app. Fantasy sports are no longer played just on the sofa: with Panka, you play based on your own real matches, fielding yourself and your teammates.

Before kick-off, you pick your fantasy lineup: if your choices get a good rating from the gaffer and bring in bonuses, you climb the leaderboard.

## How it works

### 1. You download the app, you find your team

Download Panka from the App Store or Google Play, get the group code from whoever set it up — or set it up yourself, if you’re first in the squad — and you’re in. You and your teammates each get a credit value based on your position and what you’ve shown on the pitch. Don’t take it personally if the striker is worth more than you!

### 2. Make your fantasy lineup

Before the match, choose who to field. You have a credit budget and you can’t afford everyone, so plan your strategy. You can even leave empty slots to afford the most expensive players, while tactical modifiers reward your bravest picks.

### 3. The gaffer drops the ratings

After the match, the coach (or an admin) enters the player ratings. The better your fantasy picks play, the higher your score. The app handles all the maths with real marks, goals, and team modifiers to update the leaderboard.

There is no single way of being in a team. Whether you are a bunch of mates at 5-a-side or a league squad with a coach, Panka adapts to your locker room.

## Who it’s for

Panka is for everyone, whether you play in a serious league or meet up on Tuesday nights for a game with friends. The level doesn’t matter: if there’s a team, there’s a fantasy game to play in the locker room.

Right now we only support football, but we’re already working on bringing in other team sports.

**Is Panka free?** Yes. You download the app, join your group and start playing. No subscription, no hidden costs. Except the round of drinks you’ll owe the winner.

## Questions and answers

### How do I get started?

Download Panka from the App Store or Google Play. From there you either set up your team’s group and pass the code around, or you join with the code your teammates have already sent you. It’s free, and ten minutes is enough to play your first matchday. If nobody in the squad has downloaded it yet, it’s on you to make the first move: whoever creates the group sets the rules.

### Can I use Panka for another sport?

If you play basketball, volleyball, rugby or anything else and want to try it, write to us. Right now we’re tuned for football, but we’re already working on covering other team sports — and we need teams up for anything to test the new versions!

### Who enters the ratings and report cards?

The coach, a club official, or whoever in the team has the will — and the nerve — to hand out ratings. Whoever manages the group enters them straight from the app at full time, and from that moment anything can happen in the locker room.

### How many players do we need?

How many friends do you usually play fantasy football with? Exactly. The more of you there are, the more fun it gets, but there’s no minimum to start (we suggest at least 5 of you). And if someone in the team can’t be bothered to download the app, no problem: an admin can add the whole roster anyway, so you can field even those who haven’t signed up yet.

### How do the modifiers work?

Just like classic fantasy football: meet certain criteria (say, a particular formation or a high goalkeeper rating) and you unlock bonus points added to your score. Modifiers are there to reward tactics, but they’re not mandatory: you can decide together whether to use them, how to customise them, or to ignore them entirely and keep things classic. Your locker room, your rules.

### Is my data safe?

Yes. Panka doesn’t share data with third parties. Your team’s info, ratings and leaderboards are private and only accessible to the members invited with the team code.

Panka is ready to spark arguments at your pub, but we’re building new features for the seasons to come. Here’s what’s landing soon — and what already has:

- **Advanced stats** — Performance charts and a detailed season history, just like the pros.
- **AI Assistant** — A virtual helper built on stats to pick your best possible fantasy lineup every matchday.
- **Awards and trophies** — Custom trophies, celebration cards, and everything you need to celebrate right in your teammates’ faces.
